October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and I know more people than I would like to admit that have been touched by this disease. While I know that pink ribbons on my nails will not bring a cure, awareness brings money, money brings research, and research should bring a cure.
For this mani, I used OPI Mod About You, which is from the 2014 Pink of Hearts set. (Side note: Has anyone found these for 2015? I can’t, even online. Is OPI not doing this anymore?) After painting on the OPI, which dried in a flash, I placed the water slide ribbons on my ring fingers. I topped all of that off with two coats of Funky Fingers Ghouls Night Out, which darkened the OPI to a nice shade of Pepto Pink. It also added the glittery shine.
BUT WAIT! That’s not all! This mani is not only fabulous for the day, but rocks at night because it is…
That’s right! This sparkly pink is also a glow polish. I am going to put a few pics below, which don’t really capture the brightness, but trust me when I say it shines brightly!
I absolutely love glow polish, and the way this look worked both day and night made it a lot of fun. Then, to top it off, it got people’s attention for a cause. I call that a win, win, win!
Thanks for reading! And let me know if you find Pink of Hearts for 2015!
For this look I was WAY excited to try out my new Orly Color Blast Mistress of All Evil, which is part of the Disney Villains Collection you can get right now. This polish is for Maleficent, and if there was a way to capture her colors, they got it spot on! I think of her with her purple and green, and this is perfect! I have tried to upload two videos to show you their glory, but I can’t! Meanwhile, they are on my Instagram, so check them out there! https://instagram.com/dontjudgemeokaynails/
For an accent nail, I used one of these adorable Maleficent water slides, and topped it off with the SpaRitual polish you saw above in Invention. Both the Orly and the SpaRitual went on very smoothly and had an excellent shine, all while color changing!
The end result was a mani that I couldn’t stop admiring. I have been into the Disney looks lately. I like Disney, but I’m not sure what brought on this recent craze. Anyway…there was one other polish in this collection I was eyeballing (for Ursula), but I am really trying to show restraint. 🙂

I am a sucker for Disney, and after my eBay five buck splurge a while back, I have been dying to use some of my princess water decals. I got the chance this weeks with some Cinderella nails.
For my blue nails, I used Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Blue Hue, which I feel looks very Cinderella. I really like the Miracle Gel polishes, but I will say this blue was thicker than any others I have used. It ended up looking okay, I just felt like it was gooey. (Can you use nail polish thinner on these types of polishes?) Then, for the nails with Cinderella water slide decals, I used Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Birthday Suit. It really is a very nice, neutral color. While we are talking polish, I will tell you that the thing that made me secretly happy the entire time I have been wearing this look is the Sally Hansen Diamond Strength glitter I used to top them off. Why? Because it is called Glass Slipper. Could that be more perfect? Aside from the name, it really does add a nice, delicate hint of shine.
I used a water slide of a Cinderella headshot for my ring fingers and one of her in her ball gown for my thumb,
I really think this look successfully captures Cinderella, it is delicate, pretty, and the gel made it stay on through all of my chores. 🙂

I have been back to school for a few weeks now, but just now did a back to school look. I used Wet ‘n’ Wild Megalast Whipped Topping for the big toe, then one neon toe each of orange Sally Girl Crazy, green Sally Girl Peace, and pink Sally Girl Cool, topped with Sally Hansen Crackle Snow Blast. On the big toe I used a waterslide decal that says ABC, 123.
I’ve been working hard not to apologize for pics, but I am going to say something about the next one. I couldn’t get a good shot, it’s blurry, I apparently didn’t clean up as well as I thought, and I have tons of dry skin from being outside. So, please know that in person this is actually cute and fun, not a hot mess. (And, I have swollen summer feet. Ugh)

Do you ever get the urge to spend money, but know you really shouldn’t? I had that feeling one night, when I couldn’t sleep, so I hit eBay. Not one particular seller to brag on, just excellent prices and finds! Seriously, I got all of this stuff for less than five dollars and free shipping!
I got eight new wheels full of stuff.
Pearls with Golden Outline
Neon Star, Circle, Rectangle, and Triangle Nail Studs
Gold and Silver Beach Accessories
Metallic Sheen Rhinestones
Pearls and Iridescent Brown and White Gems
I also snagged up these nail art magnets. I have’t tried them yet to know how well they work, but the idea of them and the price made them worth a go.
Finally, I went bonkers on water decals. I love using them! When I found them for under ten cents, even Disney princess ones, I lost my mind! (And let me tell you, I still have some on the watch list….I did show some self restraint.)
In closing, I would completely recommend eBay as a shopping source for nail art stuff. Especially if you really don’t want to spend money (or shouldn’t spend money) it lets you feel like you got a bunch of stuff for nothing!
Thanks for reading! I have some nail stuff to try!
This is one of those moments where you just kinda slap something on, look at it and say, “Meh.” It’s not bad, but it’s been better.
For this I just used two things. I started with a nice, bright red polish, Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Red Eye. These Miracle Gel polishes go on easily, the colors are brilliant, and the lasting power is excellent. The only down side is that the lasting power is so strong, that when you goob it up, it’s harder to scrub off. Then, I used some gold water decals from the Born Pretty Store. With these, the application was simple. (I think water decals may be a new obsession…so easy to add a touch of something special.)
I am going to give you a blurry, extreme close up now of the water decals, because while they are nice and gold on the sheet, they are pretty much silver after you apply them.
Again, not awful, just… meh.
After my holographic nails, this is just not having that stunner factor. 🙂 But, I think we have all had that happen.

I haven’t been able to make a post all week, so here is a quick one to show what has been on my toes this week. (And the weather has been worthy of sandals!)
To do this I began with two coats of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure I Lilac You. Then, on the big toes I used water decals of flowers. I am really into these water decals right now because they are so easy and add a nice design without much effort. Then I topped it off with some Zoya Monet, which is a nice spring glitter. The purple and glitter went well together and made a nice spring look!
Well, that’s about it! Thanks for reading!
