Favorite Nails of the Season!

Autumn Nail Stamping

These fall nails may be my favorite fall nails I have ever done.  They aren’t super flashy or complicated, but I really enjoyed wearing them!  Be ready for lots of pics.  (Also, I am trying to get used to the new WordPress layout, so there’s that.)

Bundle Monster

I used a Bundle Monster plate with a Konad stamper and scraper.

Cancer Moon

But, before we get into all of that, let me tell you that I painted all of my nails with Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Cancer Moon as a base.  This is a neutral with a golden shine that seemed perfect for this look!

Nail Polish for Stamping

For the stamping, I used these polishes.  From left to right they are: OPI I Sing in Color, Sally Hansen Lustre Shine, Zoya Channing, Julep Valerie, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Jungle Gem, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Branch Out, Sally Hansen Patent Gloss Moto, Sally Hansen Insta Dri Vanished, and China Glaze Don’t Make Me Wine.  All of these worked together beautifully to make the multicolored leaved.  I am posting a few extra pics so you can try to get a fee for the polishes.  A lot of them are duo/multichromes, have shines, etc.

Okay, for the stamping.  In the following pics, I was experimenting with a yellow that didn’t make the cut, but you can ignore that.  🙂

Multicolored Nail Stamping

First, I blob a bit of each color on the plate.

Konad Stamping

Then, I scrape.  The colors do not blur together the way you would think they would.

Here is a stamp on paper to preview the colors.

After I stamped all of my nails I put on a quick topcoat.  (You can see a few smudges from where I should have waited a moment longer.)

Now for the tons of pics!

Thanks for reading!  I hope you enjoy these as much as I did!

Fall Fingers

Fall Nail Polish

I love autumn!  I got married in the fall, the colors are beautiful, sweatshirts are cozy, and the air always smells so good.  I wanted to try to make the perfect fall fingers, so I combined a bunch of glitters and put them on top of a brown nail polish.

Insta Dri Moracc-go  I began with Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri Moracc-go.  It’s a rusty kind of color that seemed like a good base for the seasonal look.

Loose GlitterThen, I pulled out ten little glitter pots that seemed like a good variety of fall colors.  There was a holographic gold, gold, copper, green, burgundy, red, purple, orange, tan, and brown.  I toyed with the idea of trying stripes or somehow fading one color into another, but I couldn’t come up with any combination that made me feel like I had hit the spot.

Fall GlitterSo I used some tweezers to pinch out a little of each and mixed them together.  I wish that the sun would have been shining a little brighter when I took these pictures because it really sparked with each of the colors that I used.  Fan Brush GlitterThen, using a fan brush I applied the glitter to the wet layer of nail polish.  I will admit that I began with an attempt to do a faded look with more glitter at the bottom, then thin it out toward the top, but I goobed one up, and thought forget it.

Fall Fingernails  Fall Nail Design I sealed all of the glitter in with a top coat.  The finished product was a glittery fall look, and I was pretty happy with it.  With the variety of colors, it matched a tone of outfits, and I got lots of compliments.

These pictures were taken after a few days of wear and they still looked pretty good.

What are your favorite fall looks?  Let me know.  I am looking for a cute Thanksgiving idea.
