Favorite Nails of the Season!

Autumn Nail Stamping

These fall nails may be my favorite fall nails I have ever done.  They aren’t super flashy or complicated, but I really enjoyed wearing them!  Be ready for lots of pics.  (Also, I am trying to get used to the new WordPress layout, so there’s that.)

Bundle Monster

I used a Bundle Monster plate with a Konad stamper and scraper.

Cancer Moon

But, before we get into all of that, let me tell you that I painted all of my nails with Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Cancer Moon as a base.  This is a neutral with a golden shine that seemed perfect for this look!

Nail Polish for Stamping

For the stamping, I used these polishes.  From left to right they are: OPI I Sing in Color, Sally Hansen Lustre Shine, Zoya Channing, Julep Valerie, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Jungle Gem, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Branch Out, Sally Hansen Patent Gloss Moto, Sally Hansen Insta Dri Vanished, and China Glaze Don’t Make Me Wine.  All of these worked together beautifully to make the multicolored leaved.  I am posting a few extra pics so you can try to get a fee for the polishes.  A lot of them are duo/multichromes, have shines, etc.

Okay, for the stamping.  In the following pics, I was experimenting with a yellow that didn’t make the cut, but you can ignore that.  🙂

Multicolored Nail Stamping

First, I blob a bit of each color on the plate.

Konad Stamping

Then, I scrape.  The colors do not blur together the way you would think they would.

Here is a stamp on paper to preview the colors.

After I stamped all of my nails I put on a quick topcoat.  (You can see a few smudges from where I should have waited a moment longer.)

Now for the tons of pics!

Subtle Stamps

Nail Stamping

I wanted a nice, deep color for autumn, and then thought that some designs stamped on top would make it perfect.  It was a very subtle look, and hard to get pics of, but I really enjoyed wearing it.

Konad Stamping

I used Sally Hansen Insta Dri Vanished as the base for all of my nails.  I used a black stamping polish from Born Pretty Store, a Konad stamper and scraper, and a plate that I purchased as a random single, so I am not sure of the brand.

I really couldn’t capture the perfection for fall in this color in these photos.  It has a slight golden shimmer along with the deep red.  It is gorgeous!

Fimo Nail Art

I LOVE autumn!  I love the colors, the smells, you name it!  I feel like this red polish is the perfect transition color for the new season, and was the base for my random design that I actually got a lot of positive comments on.

Nail Art Wheels

For this look, I used China Glaze Bend Over Backwards.  This went on so smoothly and is so rich in color that I wanted to find some way to cover everything in it.

Fimo Leaves

For the leaves I used this fimo wheel.  I am pretty sure they are leaves, but they may be feathers.

3D Nail Art

For the jewel, I used these pearls outlined in gold.  This wheel has a random variety of colors.

Autumn Nail Art

The end result are these fall red toes with green and blue feather-leaves coming off of a purple and gold pearl.  It had an autumn tone, somehow reminds me slightly of Harry Potter, and people seemed to dig it.

Have you ever just grabbed stuff and gone with it, without any rhyme or reason?

Feeling Fall

Zoya Channing

Over the weekend the temperatures took a temporary dip, and I got in the mood for the new season.  I used Zoya Channing, which is one of my favorite polishes in my stash.  It goes on so smoothly, the way it glistens with hints of other colors, and the deep base color…it hits the spot.  The only complaint I have about it is the way it stains if you goob up, but I think a lot of red polish does that.  🙂  Then, using the brown, iridescent gems, I added a sparkly accent.

In the end I had some toes that are ready for fall.

Shooting Stars

Nail Studs

I wanted something kind of fun for my toes this week.  I went with a shooting star look, that I am not totally in love with, but I also am not totally offended by it.  Please excuse any messy edges on my toes.  I don’t really think anyones feet are that great, but I swear I have particularly gnarly ones, and no amount of clean up seems to work.  If you have found the answer to this problem, please share.  The only thing I can find to do is clean up as best as I can, and then wear them around.  It wears off in a day or two.

Star PedicureI began with two coats of OPI I Sing in Color.  It looks really dark in the pictures, and it is…but it is more of a deep plum than black or brown.

OPI I Sing in Color

Then, on my big toe, I put a gold star stud, and trailed it with some holographic gold glitter.  On the teeny toes I put gold microbeads (caviar).  The end result is a decent look.

Microbead Pedi

I am wondering how long the microbeads will stay in place once I put socks and shoes on.  I guess time will tell.  🙂

All That Glitters is Gold

Golden NailsAs November ends, I was looking through my polish trying to find a nice mani to wear for all the family get-togethers this weekend.  I truly love glitter in all things, but was trying not to be too flashy.

Fall PolishI decided on golden nails.  They can be sparkly and fun, but not over the top.

Xtreme Wear Golden-I

I began with two coats of Sally Hansen’s Xtreme Wear Golden-I.  (I recently saw this in the store and it looked copper…I have had mine for about a year now, and it is truly gold.)  I was happy with it, and then I thought, if this is good, more is better.  🙂

OPI Gaining Mole-Mentum

I topped my nails off with a layer of OPI Gaining Mole-Mentum, which is a flaky glitter polish that has gold, silver, and copper pieces.  It catches the light without being gaudy.

The finished product were cute, metallic nails, that have enough shine to keep me smiling, and are subdued enough to wear to any family member’s house.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you enjoyed it!

Autumnal Toes

Nail Art Supplies

I seriously love fall colors, glitter, and toes peaking out of jeans on a nice autumn day.  I combined all of these things for a snazzy fall foot look.

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure

I began with a layer of Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure in Branch Out on all the toes.  That left a nice brown base to work with.  Then, on the big toe I put a layer of Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure in Copper Penny.  This polish has copper glitter in circle shapes of all sizes.  It added a nice pop.

Loose Holographic Glitter

On the other toes, I used a dotting tool to place a few of these beautiful, diamond shaped, fall holographic glitters.  I also sprinkled a few onto my big toe.

Fall ToesFall Nail Design  While the pictures are a little meh, the results were great.  A neutral enough look to go with everything, but sparkly enough to catch the sun on those beautiful fall days.
