Where Have You Been?

I have been here, but sadly, have barely even had time to do more than slap glitter polish on my nails.  My career is taking an exciting new twist!!!!

With that in mind, I am posting this link (hopefully) to a Go Fund Me Campaign.  I am trying to get access to more technology for myself and my students as my career booms.

Go Fund Me – Teaching with Technology

I did take some pics this weekend of my nails, so I hope to get back to writing on here, but I think no one should hold their breath too long for that!

Thank you all for your continued support!!!  LOVE!!!!!

Happy Birthday!

It’s my birthday!  I have no mani to share, just my relationship with cake.  Love you all!

Snowflake Stamps

Winter Nail Art

While some of the country is buried in snow, the rest of us have barely seen an inch.  We finally got a few flakes here, and I was ready to do a snowy look.

Color Club Holographic Polish

For this look, I used Color Club Blue Heaven, OPI Sheer Tints I Can Teal You Like Me, and Wet ‘n’ Wild Hallucinate.  There wasn’t enough sunshine to be able to tell, but the Color Club is a holo, and the Wet ‘n’ Wild is an iridescent glitter.  (I also used a white stamping polish that doesn’t have any brand.)

I began by painting all of my nails with one coat of Blue Heaven.  Then, I stamped my first layer of snowflakes.  Next, was a layer of the Sheer Tints, followed by more snowflakes, followed by Sheer Tints, then a final layer of snowflakes that were topped off by the glitter polish.

Bundle Monster Stamping Plates

I took turns experimenting with these plates and different stampers, so there are different snowflakes for every layer.  These plates are from Born Pretty, Bundle Monster, and Pueen.

The finished product was a frosty look that perfectly matched the frosty weather.  I hope you like!

Glam Glitter

OPI Nicole Luke of the Draw

Nicole by OPI Luke of the Draw is one of those polishes that I forget about.  It is gorgeous and goes on so easily!  I have pictures both indoors and outdoors, and honestly, I love the indoors.  It is the kind of polish that catches that evening light and looks so glam!  Check out my IG @dontjudgemeokaynails for a video of the shining glory of it all!

Glitter Nail Art

I don’t feel like I have a whole lot to say about this polish, except that I really love the sparkle and shine.  I also like when I rediscover a color that I haven’t worn in a while.  🙂

Sparitual Oasis

I see people do beautiful dry marble designs all the time, and they make it look like a piece of cake.  Either they are really just that good, or this is something that takes a little more practice.

I used Wet’n’Wild Whipped Topping as a base for all of my nails.  Next, I put on a blob of Sparitual Oasis, and I used a pointed dotting tool to swirl the polish.  This is where I was experimenting with amounts of blue and white, and how hard to push, where to swirl, how to swirl, I mean really…the combinations of ways to do it are endless and overwhelming!  And then, if the polish begins to stiffen up at all, forget it!  You will just leave bald spots.  And oh the bald spots!  Some people make those look so easy to cover up.  When I tried to, it truly looked like a blob of paint tossed on to a weird looking nail.  😛  Anyway, when that was all done, I topped it off with a coat of Wet’n’Wild Up in the Air, because sometimes glitter makes designs better.  Yeah, not today.  lol

There are chips and dents and bald spots.  Whatevs.

Thanks for reading about my fail.  If you have any suggestions, please pass them on!

It’s a Trap-eze!

China Glaze It's a Trap-eze!

I fell in love with this polish when it came out, so when I finally scored it on the clearance rack I was stoked!  I have pics from in the sun and in the shade in an effort to show off the glory of it all.

China Glaze It’s a Trap-eze! is a white polish with metallic glitters mixed into it.  It does remind of me Jawbreaker by Funky Fingers, but I feel like the formula is better.

Metallic Glitter

Check out the shine from the glitters on my hand!  When this polish catches the light, the metallic pieces really do shine.

Textured Nail Polish

Because of the glitter pieces, this polish does have a bit of a texture to it.  Also, in spite of the glitter, it goes on pretty easily.  I think this is such a fun, versatile polish.  I am super excited to have it in my collection!
